Cleveland Bridge Veterans 2009 Dinner 10 December

This year annual dinner for Cleveland Bridge was attended by 72 pensioners plus several retired directors including Peter Ladd and Nick Hobson. Works director Steve Wright gave a presentation on the contracts than had been completed in the past year. Bob Forest Proposals/Sales Manager spoke on the future work load which included the River Eden bridge 1200 tonnes and the Poole Harbour Bridge which is a Bascule lift bridge which when open lifts into the air to form a sail. This report was compiled by Clive Simpson Purchasing Manager who retires this month after many years service at Darlington Works. Many thanks Clive have a long and happy retirement.
